See You There! 👋
Mark your calendars and help us make our community a safer place. We look forward to seeing you on September 16th at 11:00am-3:00pm!
What to Expect:
We're teaming up with the Hamilton County Coalition and local law enforcement to make this event a success. We'll have a safe, convenient drop-off point where you can bring your unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications.
In addition to properly disposing of your meds, you'll also be able to pick up educational flyers with valuable information on drug safety and prevention. And, of course, what's a community event without some swag? We'll be handing out goody bags to everyone! 🛍️
Why is Proper Disposal Important?
Safely disposing of medication is crucial for several reasons. When you flush old pills down the toilet or throw them in the trash, they can end up contaminating our water supply and harming wildlife. Improperly stored medications can also be a danger in the home, posing a risk of accidental poisoning for children and pets. 🚫
Drug take-back events provide a safe, secure, and environmentally friendly way to dispose of medications. This helps prevent drug abuse, protects our community's health, and keeps our environment clean.
