Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Whether it’s a patient undergoing chemotherapy, a victim of a traumatic accident, or a mother facing complications during childbirth, the need is constant and urgent. Because blood cannot be manufactured and has a limited shelf life, hospitals rely entirely on the generosity of volunteer donors to keep their shelves stocked. A single donation—which takes less than an hour of your time—can save up to three lives. By rolling up your sleeve, you aren't just giving blood; you’re giving a second chance at life to someone in your own community.

Every donor receives a "mini-physical" that includes a check of your pulse, blood pressure, body temperature, and hemoglobin levels.
